ARE YOU AN ENTREPRENEUR, INVENTOR OR CREATIVE THINKER WITH A LOVE OF WORKING WITH PEOPLE?
To kickstart this exciting community of Iqaluit entrepreneurs, we need your help in finding two talented volunteer Community Leaders to join the team!
Why Community Leaders?
Community Leaders play a crucial role in building the vibrancy of the network by helping entrepreneurs in the network build meaningful connections amongst one another and by keeping members engaged. Simply put, CLs keep everything running smoothly! We're looking for passionate & energized entrepreneurs (or aspiring entrepreneurs) that are interested in bringing people together for a shared purpose. They will help organize events, coordinate guest speakers and professional consultations sessions, and help plan out next steps for the network!
CLs will receive a budget for community events, and ongoing support from community partners to execute on ambitious and exciting events for Iqaluit's entrepreneurs.
What Is Iqaluit's Entrepreneurship Network?
IEN will help launch and grow business initiatives in the community through informal, relationship-building gatherings and by offering a wide variety of skill-building workshops and seminars.

Entrepreneurship Tools and Fundamentals
Learn about how to assess opportunities, and how to adopt an attitude of “fast failure” to reach a successful and viable business idea. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the Business Model Canvas to quickly and visually build and validate your business model. You’ll also be taught tools to determine which needs and problems your business can most effectively solve, who your potential customers are, and how you can measure demand and quantify the value of your product or service.
To develop the sales and marketing aspects of your business, you will learn to identify your business objectives, your target market, your strategic position and how you’re different from your competitors and what’s already “out there”. You will learn to identify marketing objectives in alignment with sales objectives.
