Professional Development Lead

The Member Development team is the Human Resources function of Enactus, responsible for the acquisition and management of talent, motivation and engagement of team members, and team culture at all levels of the organization.

This year, some of the objectives the Member Development team is looking to accomplish include:

1.      Identifying and recruiting the very best talent on the University of Ottawa campus, specific to the needs of our projects. We have a goal of receiving 300+ applications in May & September, and selecting a total of ~80 of the top candidates

2.     Creating a sense of belonging across the organization, and instill a sense of meaningfulness with every person on our team

3.     Develop management and leadership skills with members through internal workshops, events and a video series exclusively available to our team.

 

YOU’LL NEED TO:

-Be interested in Human Resources and training

-Be extremely organized and able to be autonomous

-Be outgoing and passionate about our team and the work we do

 

IT’D BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

-Strong communication skills

-Experience in reaching out and meeting with professionals

 

YOU’LL BE WORKING ON THINGS LIKE:

-Set up and organize workshops throughout the year that focus on improving and developing each functional role on the Enactus team

-Contact external sources for professionals and/or qualified individuals to deliver the workshops to the Enactus members

-Ensure that all members on the Enactus team participate and engage in the workshops in order to best excel in their role

-Creating and developing a new program that provides the workshop opportunities for members to get engaged and develop their role and related skills

Recruitment and Retention Lead

- Have an interest in creating basic marketing content

 

YOU’LL BE WORKING ON THINGS LIKE:

- Resume review, interview scheduling, hiring, and firing

- Sending emails and communicating with potential candidates

- Meeting with team members on weekly basis to discuss their team experiences

- Working with the VP and PM team to handle problems among teams

 

Engagement Coordinator

IT’D BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

-Strong communication skills in French and English

-Experience in reaching out and meeting with team members

-Experience in event coordination

 

YOU’LL BE WORKING ON THINGS LIKE:

-Assisting PM’s in Planning Monthly socials

-Coming up with new ideas to encourage new friendships

-Assisting the VP of Member Development in planning team retreats and competitions

-Engaging with all team members to ensure overall inclusion

-Monitor the team culture and dynamic
