We’re searching for exceptional business development warriors to join the Legacy team. We need people who want to break down walls and make things happen. They will have to be very special and very driven to be successful. They will help define the processes, run the experiments, and make the calls.

Sponsorships are the reason why the Legacy Conference happens. This team will be critical to our success and will have the opportunity to impact not only 800 attendees, but all of our stakeholders. The Legacy Conference as well as flipping the entire concept of a business conference on its head.

YOU'LL BE:

  • Building valuable relationships with partners and sponsors.
  • Collaborating and experimenting to identify and creating best practices, understanding business development strategies, and reviewing qualification approach to maximize efficiency.
  • Continually exploring the performance, trends and behaviours of the pipeline, and the market to make sure we keep rockin'.
  • Contributing to the overall strategy and growth of the Legacy Conference

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

  • Passion for sales and for building amazing teams
  • A love for data and how it can help the business development team win
  • The ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment
  • A love to connect and reach out to inspiring, high-level executives

Growth Coordinator

For the past year, we have grown from 100 to 600 attendees. This year, we’re targeting the big 800. We’re looking for someone who is able to evaluate and implement opportunities that others miss. Whether it’s finding innovative ways to use existing data or going on regular “business trips” — we’re looking for someone to help us creatively grow our “young entrepreneur ecosystem”.

We’ll look to you for crazy ideas that just might work, and we’ll trust you to test them and find out.

You’ll be:

  • Brainstorming various growth strategies aimed at all target audiences
  • Doing research, research and more research
  • Building quality relationships with new and existing attendees
  • The bridge between our target audience and the team
  • Innovating and improvising

You’ll need to:

  • Get your hands dirty (think no sleep) and have a “get shit done” attitude
  • Passion for sales and for building amazing teams
  • A love for data and how it can help the growth team win
  • The ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment

Content Writer

Legacy has the potential to be more than just a conference, and we want to grow that. In order to inspire, empower and connect Canada’s young entrepreneur, we need to give them resources. Our email newsletter and social media channels should help our audience make better decisions by giving them high quality, engaging, and no-nonsense news they can actually trust, while injecting a little humour.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Write the weekly email newsletter (which will be linked in our email), and any important announcements in a fun, humorous way.
  • Hitting strict deadlines
  • Fact checking and editing
  • Testing new story ideas and concepts

You Need To:

  • A passion for copywriting and journalism
  • A bias for results and execution
  • Ability to hit ambitious deadlines
  • Witty and the ability to write with humor
  • Pop culture, startup, and business knowledge
  • You must be a current subscriber on Legacy’s email

Head of Design

We’re looking for a designer to join our team, bringing design thinking and skill sets in pursuit of better showcase Legacy’s voice in media and graphics. You will work on content that inspires our attendees to sign up for the conference at a glance. You’ll have to be good at managing your time, adjusting quickly to shifting approaches, situations, and priorities.

YOU'LL BE:

  • Taking control of creating designs and organizing media (ranging from design to photographs to videos)
  • Contributing to our growing design system in an effort to convey Legacy’s voice in visuals to provide our audience with a new experience
  • Prioritizing simultaneous deadlines across multiple teams and coordinating the efforts across the other teams

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

  • A passion for solving design problems while wearing multiple hats and owning all facets of design & media
  • A desire to mentor other designers, leading by example with your keen eye for good design, and attention to detail
  • Exceptional Photoshop abilities as can be demonstrated through current project pieces

  • Help to convey Legacy’s vision and strategy in an unconventional way.
  • Work with the brightest, most driven students in Ottawa.
  • Coordinate efforts between content writer and other important functions.
  • Manage the marketing team to ensure deliverables are met on time.

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

  • A genuine curiosity and excitement to convey Legacy’s voice to 12,000 young entrepreneurs.
  • Prior product marketing experience

Logistics Coordinator

Legacy thrives on innovation and bringing the best experience to our attendees. This role involves managing the logistics of the conference and ensuring that the event runs smoothly.


You will be:

  • Working with the operations lead to plan and implement various components of the conference
  • Using research and metrics to base decisions
  • Multitasking. This role involves many  moving parts at any time so being efficient and driven is key.
  • Coordinating with the internal and external teams to effectively organize and execute ideas

You'll need:

  • Drive and hustle
  • Some previous experience in a logistics type position
  • Thrive under a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Be very organised and efficient
  • Be able to build relationships in a professional manner
  • Have a desire to learn
