Head of Nutrition Education

Project FLY (Future Leaders in Youth), is a workshop-based program that aims to empower at-risk youth to take advantage of opportunities in post-secondary education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Through interactive workshop, Project FLY educates youth on core topics which include the importance of post-secondary education, employment skills, environmental sustainability, leadership, financial literacy, professional soft skills, and entrepreneurship. We also run our yearly bilingual Pitch competition for high school students called Perfect Pitch and work with the school boards to fill gaps in the current school curriculum in the areas of nutrition and financial planning

This year, Project FLY’s objectives include:

•    Strengthening the current academic content for the Business & Nutrition workshops

•    Expand our content by looking for opportunities to transition into mental health workshops

•    Continuing to build on our relationships with current community partners (YMCA, JA, CLK Youth)

•    Building partnerships with local businesses and organizations willing to give specialized workshops to the youth attending our workshops
