Marketing & Growth Coordinator

The deCODE Hackathon is a semi-annual event where computer science students from across North America pair up with company engineers to solve technical challenges presented by the companies themselves. These exclusive, tightly knit workshops aim to repair the interview and selection process for candidates through collaboration, and practical application of skills. It also provides a way for students to create an awesome project to benefit their software development career long-term.

3 Goals we aim to address this year:

  1. Grow the number of applications we receive by 5x
  2. Build stronger relationships with student organizations that aim towards long-term mutual benefits and cross-club promotions
  3. Increase our social media presence through consistent, informative and funny content

YOU'LL NEED TO:

  • Marketing and/or design experience

  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills

  • Have a detailed and organized approach to work

  • Be a well-rounded individual

  • Have a great attitude and willingness to learn

IT'D BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with platforms like Buffer/Hootsuite

  • Google AdWords Certification

  • Active Social Media Presence

YOU'LL BE WORKING ON THINGS LIKE:

  • Leading and creating marketing campaigns that will influence the deCODE brand and our target audience

  • Develop new strategies to increase applications numbers

  • Running social media accounts and actively maintaining a presence

  • GROWTH HACKING
