Head of Operations

Project FLY (Future Leaders in Youth), is a development workshop-based program that aims to empower at-risk youth to take advantage of opportunities in post-secondary education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Through interactive workshop, Project FLY educates youth on core topics which include the importance of post-secondary education, employment skills, environmental sustainability, leadership, financial literacy, professional soft skills, nutrition, and entrepreneurship. 

This year, Project FLY’s objectives include;

  1. Strengthening the current academic content for the Business & Nutrition workshops
  2. Expand our content by looking for opportunities to transition into mental health workshops
  3. Continuing to build on our relationships with current community partners (YMCA, JA, CLK Youth)
  4. Looking for new opportunities within the community to provide our workshops 

YOU’LL NEED TO:

•    Be very organized and punctual

•    Have excellent written and oral communication skills

 

IT’D BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

•    Experience working with youth/students

•    Experience in community outreach and creating partnerships

•    An interest in youth development

 

TASKS YOU WOULD DO:

•    Find new opportunities within the community in terms of where we can implement workshops 

•    Maintain current relationships with youth organizations and existing partnerships

•    Communicating and updating our community partners regularly

•    Expanding the program to other needs groups, which includes identifying and reaching out to potential community partners
